New England Coffee Cake

My Grandma’s of New England Coffee Cake is not cheap to buy ($35.50). Making your own is way cheaper. If you are in a hurry you can buy the cake on line and they will ship it to you. 

Ingredients
  • 1 Cup (2 sticks) butter
  • 1½ Cup. granulated sugar
  • 8 oz. sour cream (1 cup)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 Cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 Cup chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 10-inch tube pan or a bundt pan.
  2. In a large. bowl, cream butter, sugar, sour cream , eggs and vanilla and beat well.storyboard copycat coffee cake

  4. Then add to creamed mixture, beating well.
  5. Make topping by combining chopped nuts, sugar, and cinnamon.Copy Cat storyboard coffee cake 3
  6. In bottom of pan put about one-third of topping mixture.
  7. Alternate layers of batter and topping, ending with batter. Bake for 45 minutes.
