Marinara Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 (29 ounce) can tomato sauce
- or 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can tomato puree and 1/4 cup water
- 2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 whole bay leaf
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Combine ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil and cover. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 to 45 minutes.
