Egg salad sandwich is a simple and humble American sandwich dating back to sometime in the 1800s, but not before 1762 because that’s when the sandwich was formally invented. It consists of a combination of peeled hard-boiled eggs, mayonnaise, salt, and pepper between two slices

Cucumber Sandwiches

The traditional cucumber sandwich is thin slices of cucumber placed between thin slices of crustless lightly buttered white bread. The sandwich originated in the UK, and modern variants introduced cream cheese.
 
I learned this much when you make these sandwiches ahead of time, make sure you cover the sandwiches with a wet paper towel. That way they won’t dry out.
 
Ingredients
  • 1 8oz cream cheese
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp dill weed
  • 1 green onion
  • ½ tsp white pepper
  • 1 sliced English Cucumber
  • white bread
  • butter

 

Instructions
  1. Add the mayo, dill weed, white pepper and sliced green onions to the Cream Cheese. Mix with your mixer, set aside.cucumber sandwich storyboard 1
  2. Wash and clean the cucumber and slice in thin slices. A handy gadget is a cheese slicer, if you don’t have that use the mandolin. Cover with a paper towel so it will absorb access liquid. cucumber sandwich storyboard 2
  3. Spread some butter on both slices of bread, top with the Cream Cheese mixture. Top with the sliced cucumber. Then cut the crust of and slice the sandwiches in strips.
