The moist and buttery Iced Lemon Pound Cake is a Starbucks fan favorite, it also has a hefty price tag. So why not make your own. It's really not that hard to make. One Slice is @ StarBucks $3.57. This cake serves at least 12. If you like to make this in a loaf pan then you need to half the ingredients.

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350F. In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar and the eggs. When mixed well add the buttermilk, mix again. Set aside.
In another bowl sift the flour, baking soda, baking powder and the salt. Add to the wet ingredients the lemon zest of 2 lemons, vanilla extract, lemon extract and the lemon juice. Add the sifted flour to the wet ingredients, mix well. Then add the melted butter, again mix well. Spray the cake form with the non stick spray. I picked up this glass cake form at the GW store. I didn't know for sure if I could bake in this glass form. Well there is only one way to find out and try it. Lucky me the cake came out perfect. And the cake form survived :). Put the cake in the preheated oven and bake for 45 minutes. To check if the cake is done poke with a sate stick and see if it comes out clean. Take the cake out and put on a table cloth, let it cool down for about 10 minutes. Then turn over on the serving platter. When it's completely cooled down, you can add the glaze. To make the glaze add 1 tsp heavy cream to the sifted powdered sugar and 1 tsp lemon extract. Whisk and pour over the cake.
