Green Seasoning
There are variations on the herbs/ingredients used in green seasoning throughout the Caribbean. Now you are asking yourself with what dish can I use this marinade ? It’s perfect for marinading fish, poultry, meat and vegetables. Also a great addition to soups, stews, curries and slow cooking casseroles.
Ingredients
- 1 onion
- 1 head of garlic
- 2 ” of ginger
- peppers sweet or hot it’s up to you
- 4 green onions
- 4 thyme
- handful of basil
- handful cilantro
- handful parsley
- 1 tbsp salt
- 3 tbsp oil
- 1 juice of lemon
Instructions
- Wash your vegetables and chop in pieces. Add all to the blender. Then add salt, lemon juice and the olive oil. Store in a glass jar in the refrigerator. If you don’t use it often freeze it in small badges.
